Uber drivers did not comply with regulations

The Zug police checked Uber drivers at the weekend. Six of them were charged for not complying with the regulations on working hours and rest periods.

From Friday to Sunday, January 10th to 12th, the emergency services checked a total of nine Uber taxi drivers across the entire area of the canton, the media office of the Zug law enforcement authorities reported in a press release on Monday.

Compliance with the working hours and rest time regulations was checked, and six drivers were found to have not kept to the rules. Among other things, they had not complied with the daily requirements for rest periods or breaks from driving, or had not operated their tachograph correctly. The six drivers will now be brought to answer before the public prosecutor of the Canton of Zug.
