Two accidents on Zug roads

There were two traffic accidents in the canton of Zug within a short time on Tuesday afternoon,. A total of six people had to be taken to hospital.

A 26-year-old man was driving a van on the Untermühlestrasse towards Cham shortly before 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday, and wanted to cross the Knonauerstrasse in the direction of the Langackerstrasse. In doing this, he overlooked a car driving on the Knonauerstrasse in the direction of Knonau, and there was a side/frontal collision between the two vehicles.

The van came to a halt lying on its roof after the collision,. The two occupants of the van and the three people in the car had to be taken to hospital by two emergency vehicles. According to the Zug police, both vehicles suffered total damage.

Five people had to be taken to hospital following this accident.

The second accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. in Baar. Immediately after the Metro bus stop, a bus of the Zugerland transport companies had to swerve to avoid a car on the Neuhofstrasse whose driver had overlooked the bus. The bus driver was able to prevent a collision. An 81-year-old woman who was on the bus fell during the evasive manoeuvre and had to be taken to hospital with leg injuries by the ambulance service.
