Two accidents on Thursday evening

There were two traffic accidents in the canton of Zug on Thursday evening, 18 June. A child rode his bicycle into the door of a car in Baar, and a sports car collided with the wall on the motorway.

According to the press release of the Zug law enforcement authorities, a 10-year-old child was riding his bicycle along the Zugweg in the direction of the Sternmattstrasse in Baar shortly after 5.15 pm on Thursday, June 18, and decided to cross the street. The boy failed to notice a car that was driving along the Sternmattstrasse, and crashed into its driver's door. The child was taken to hospital with injuries by the Zug Ambulance Service. The 51-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.

The second accident occurred on the A4 motorway between the Blegi and Affoltern am Albis shortly after 7.30 p.m. A 31-year-old driver lost control of his Porsche sports car and crashed into a wall on the right side of the motorway. The driver suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene of the accident by the ambulance service. The above-mentioned section of the motorway is patrolled by the Zug police.
