Due to a lack of attention at the wheel, a rear-end collision involving three cars occurred on the A4 motorway between Lindencham and the Rütihof junction. Nobody was injured, but the accident resulted in extensive traffic jams on the A4 motorway.
The accident occurred on the A4 motorway in Hünenberg, in the direction of Lucerne, just before 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, 6 November, according to the Zug law enforcement authorities.
A 62-year-old driver realised too late that the vehicles in front of him had slowed down between Lindencham and the Rütihof junction, and, as a result, crashed into the rear of the car in front of him. This car was, in turn, pushed into another vehicle.
Nobody was injured in this rear-end collision, but the car that caused the accident suffered total damage, according to police. The collision led to delays in the rush hour traffic in the area around the scene of the accident.
