Traffic accidents over the Easter period

 

On Saturday night, a 23-year-old female motorist collided with the safety barrier on the A4a motorway in Baar, and then continued driving. She was under the influence of alcohol and drugs and was travelling without a valid driver's license.

Shortly after 11.30 p.m. on Friday, the Zug Police Operations Control Centre received a report that a car had collided with the safety barrier on the A4a motorway in Baar, and had then driven off towards Zug. A short time later, the person responsible for the accident was found by a patrol of the Zug police at the Chamerstrasse/Letzistrasse junction in Zug. She had parked the damaged vehicle in the middle of the junction, according to the Zug police.

The breath alcohol and drug tests carried out on the 23-year-old new driver were positive, and the public prosecutor's office of the canton of Zug ordered a blood and urine test. In addition, it turned out that the person responsible for the accident had been travelling without a valid driver's license. No one was injured in the accident.

According to the police, the damage to the accident vehicle and the safety barrier amounts to several thousand francs. The 23-year-old will now have to answer to the public prosecutor's office of the canton of Zug.

Oberägeri: Motorcyclist slightly injured in collision with car
There was a collision between a motorcycle and a car on the Ratenstrasse in Oberägeri. The driver was slightly injured.

On Saturday afternoon, 11 April, a 44-year-old motorcyclist was driving down the Ratenstrasse in Oberägeri towards Alosen at about 2.30 p.m., when, in a right turn, there was a glancing collision between the left side of the motorcycle and an oncoming car, the Zug law enforcement authorities reported on Sunday.

Following the collision, the motorcyclist was able to jump off the motorcycle before it crashed down the adjacent embankment into the forest. The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries, and was treated at the scene by the Einsiedeln ambulance service.

According to police, damage to the motorcycle and the car amounted to several thousand francs.

During the approximately two-hour salvage work, only one lane was passable on the Ratenstrasse was. Employees of the Einsiedeln ambulance service, the Alpine Air Ambulance, a private towing company and the Zug police were on duty.
