Three men arrested after altercation in pub

Three guests got into a violent confrontation in a pub on the Alpenstrasse in Zug in the early hours of Friday morning. The three men then resisted a check by police with physical violence and insulted the police officers.

Shortly before 1.15 a.m. in the early hours of Friday morning, a physical altercation took place in a pub on the Alpenstrasse in Zug, according to a statement from the Zug police.

When the police arrived on the scene, one of the parties tried to leave the scene. He was stopped, however, and was subjected to a police check. In the process, the 30-year-old lashed out at the officers, tried to escape from the police control and verbally insulted the police officers, according to the police report.
 

Threats against the authorities and officers
Another 25-year-old man, who had also been involved in the previous altercation, also behaved in an extremely stubborn manner and verbally abused the police. In addition, the third person involved, a 28-year-old man, repeatedly disrupted the police operation and did not follow the orders of the police.

The three men were all arrested and. after questioning, were released from police custody later on Friday afternoon. They will be charged with obstructing an official act, as well as violence and threats against authorities and officers, summarised the police report.
