The Zug Chornacht is getting closer

September 10 will be all about choral music, with a variety of different formations presenting the fruits of their intensive work on eight stages in the city of Zug.

36 choirs on 8 stages in Zug's old town: it will once again be a great spectacle for choral singing. After the unpleasant Corona episode, the Zuger Chornacht (Choir Night) can take place again in September.

The printed programs will be circulated via the choirs from next week, as the organising committee writes in a statement. A list of the 36 participating choirs is now available on the homepage (www.zugerchornacht.ch).

The contents are constantly being supplemented there. The biggest surprise – as those responsible continue to note – will be published at the end of June: this is a special highlight in the context of the final event, when a so-called Sing-along-Choir has its performance. This allows newcomers who are interested in singing to feel the choir experience – alongside a well-known Swiss pop star. Who will it be?

How to support the Choir Night
There is still a lot of preparatory work to be done. The organisers are thereby being actively supported by the participating choir, with around 140 helpers ensuring a smooth operation. If other volunteers want to make themselves available for assistance, they can find the corresponding information on the homepage of the Zug Choir Night.

Another sign of solidarity and support for this free event is the blue rubber supporter band, which costs five Swiss francs and can be worn on your arm.

The organisers have announced that the association will be operating two of is own gastronomic stands for the first time this year: a Cüplibar with tarte flambée on the Burgbachplatz and a Choir Night Grill by the Greth Schell fountain, where the "Chornacht beer" will also be available.
