The number of visitors to the Ägeribad exceeds expectations

The number of visitors to the Ägeribad in Oberägeri is higher than expected, and the costs of the construction were below the approved loan of CHF 36.3 million.

The electorate approved a construction loan of CHF 36.3 million, but the construction has now been completed at about CHF 118,000 less than the budgeted construction loan, according to the residents' community of Oberägeri. This was especially pleasing, because a women's sauna, a larger photovoltaic system and an underwater detection for the safety of bathers were included room in the credit framework. A perfect result, including additional equipment. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Pius Meier, is particularly pleased about this:

"I look back on a very intense year. Getting the business running was very complex, with the change in management demanding additional resources from all parties involved."

"But, with the new managing director, we have found the ideal person, and it is a great satisfaction to me that our pool is so popular and obviously meets a great need," says Meier in the press release.

Above-average visitor numbers
Since its opening on 30 September 2018, around 150,000 bathers have visited the Ägeribad in its first year of operation. That's an average of 13,000 people per month, and the trend is rising. This is significantly higher than the originally planned number of admissions.

The well-attended courses, including classic swimming courses for children and adults, and the Aquafit offers has been successfully established, and are constantly being adapted to the needs of the guests, says the communication. The most recent offer in the Ägeribad, the massages, have got off to a good start. "The success is certainly also due to the mix of attractive courses, a varied culinary offer, and events in and around the Ägeribad. We make every effort to ensure that our guests enjoy spending their most important time, namely their leisure time, with us," explains Managing Director Tobias Herger. Additional attractive courses are planned for the new year, such as baby swimming and Aqua Cycling. Fine adjustments in the operation are being continued.
