The indoor and outdoor swimming pool at Lättich open again to all
The Lättich indoor and outdoor swimming pool in Baar will once again be available to all users from 1 July.
The further relaxations communicated by the Federal Council will allow the Lättich swimming pool to resume public operation, including the indoor swimming pool, in compliance with the protective measures that are still in force. The Baar municipal council has approved the recommendations of the management and, at its meeting on 30 June 2020, adopted the following provisions on the operation of the pools:
- The indoor and outdoor swimming pools remain physically separate, and will operate separately.
- There will now be two entrances (indoor and outdoor pool) with two cash registers.
- No more than 350 people are allowed in the indoor swimming pool building (counting and registration of the admissions is required).
- The length of stay in the indoor pool is limited to a maximum of 3 hours.
- Persons who want to use the indoor pool must book and register in advance (guaranteed contact tracing).
- The indoor swimming pool will also used by the public schools for swimming lessons (up to 3 July 2020), the swimming school and the swimming club. There may therefore be waiting times during the summer holidays during the training sessions, and during the teaching and course times.
- Until the resumption of unrestricted operation, the individual admission prices are uniformly fixed as follows for both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools: adults 4 Francs, children 2 Francs.
Detailed information about the operation can be found here. According to the announcement by the municipality of Baar, the above provisions will remain valid until further notice, with changes or adjustments reserved at any time.
Restriction of persons in the indoor pool
While the outdoor pool will be fully usable for the public from 27 June 2020, the indoor pool must continue to be restricted in terms of personal use due to the limited space, due to the social distancing rules. 350 people can be currently admitted to the indoor pool at the same time, according to the recommendations of the Association for Indoor and Outdoor Pools (VHF).
A place reservation and registration is absolutely necessary to ensure "contact tracing", and users can register online on the homepage of the Lättich swimming pool. The length of stay has been limited to a maximum of three hours, so that all users are given the opportunity to visit the indoor pool, especially in bad weather. All the federal requirements must be complied with in both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools at one’s own responsibility, and, in particular, the hygiene and distance regulations of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), says the municipal notice.
