The Hünenberg Eichezunft celebrates 50 years
The Hünenberg Eichezunft concluded its 50th anniversary year with a highlight
On Saturday, June 27, the Hünenberg Eichezunft (carnival oak guild) unveiled the fifth Eiche-Werk (oak sculpture), followed by the Eiche-Fäscht (oak festival) on the Dorfplatz in Hünenberg. Under the anniversary motto "Zämecho" (come together), the focus was on shared experiences and encounters.
Starting at 4 pm, the unveiling of the latest oak sculpture took place on the festival grounds, accompanied by Guggenmusik (carnival bands), refreshments and a speech by the mayor (Gemeindepräsidentin) Renate Huwyler.

Following this, the Dorfplatz was transformed into a garden party with bars, food stalls, music and entertainment for all ages. The programme included games and activities with the Blauring leaders (girl guides), live music by Clio Zero, performances by the Cocorico and Quaker Guggenmusik and DJ ITI.
Various Hünenberg clubs and vendors provided a wide culinary offering, from grilled meats and pasta to crispy fish, cakes, and ice cream.
With the five Eiche sculptures made from Hünenberg oak, the guild has created meeting places that invite people to linger and socialise. The anniversary celebration thereby marked the festive conclusion of this special project.
