The host of the "Raten" restaurant receives a CHF 500 fine
The Zug Public Prosecutor's Office has issued criminal orders against Iwan Iten and two employees. The restaurant, which has come into disrepute with some people, will be allowed to reopen on Saturday after the recent closure.
Ivan Iten, the landlord of the restaurant Raten, has been fined CHF 500. In addition to CHF 300 in costs, this means he will actually have to pay CHF 800. This is clear from a penalty order issued by the Zug Public Prosecutor's Office at the end of October. Two employees will also have to pay the same amount. All three had refused to wear protective masks, thereby violating the Covid 19 regulations.
The Zug government recently closed the popular excursion venue for a week because Iwan Iten again did not wear a protective mask – it will be allowed to re-open on Saturday. Iwan Iten has announced that the measures will now be complied with. The Oberägeri Corporation owns the restaurant and wants to prevent further damage to its image. It will therefore closely observe the behaviour of the host from now on.
Will Ivan Iten strictly wear a mask at work, as shown here?

50 people without masks
Iwan Iten told the “Luzerner Zeitung” that he had organized a film evening with 50 people. The much-discussed Corona documentary “Ungehört” (Unheard of)” was shown. No mouth and nose protection was worn. This reason was decisive for the Zug police recommending that the Zug government council should close the restaurant, says Iten. On the part of the government council, security director Beat Villiger confirms this connection. But that was not the only reason: violations of the Corona regulations had been repeatedly observed in the Raten restaurant. As this is an ongoing procedure, the details cannot be specifically addressed.
Iten is also threatened with further proceedings from the Schwyz criminal prosecutor. The landlord appeared as a speaker at a corona demonstration in Lachen in mid-November. According to the Schwyz cantonal police, all speakers at the demo were reported. Iwan Iten says that he has not yet been made aware of any charges.
