The free stage will soon be back on the village square

It's that time of year again: The "Freie Bühne Walchwil" is starting another round. From Friday, 10 June to Friday, 8 July 2022, the Dorfplatz will once again be the place to "see, be seen and try it out".

Thanks to numerous contributors, the Walchwil Cultural Commission has once again been able to put together a colourful, varied programme. Classic, traditional, but also unconventional awaits the visitors, according to the announcement.

The Walchwil Music School, for example, is joining the party, singer/songwriter Shamin from the Ägeri Valley will present some of her songs, and the Zug artist Severin Hofer will read from his book "Herr Stämpfli".

Walchwil "originals" such as the Echo vo de Bärenegg alphorn group or the Riviera Band are just as much a part of the programme as the Zebrafanten, who have been performing their self-written texts on the Freie Bühne (free stage) since the very beginning. 24 June will certainly be a special evening: the "Bahnhöfli Revival Party" will take place then on the free stage, reviving the legendary Walchwil Beiz (pub).

The Freie Bühne was initiated by the Walchwil Cultural Commission, and aims to enliven the village culturally. The Freie Bühne is a platform for all amateurs and artists who enjoy performing something. Whether music, theatre, dance or something unusual: almost anything is possible.

In good weather, the events will take place in front of the Riviera Café on the Dorfplatz. In the case of bad weather, the programme will be announced daily on www.walchwil.ch and on a board on the Dorfplatz.
