The Chamer Liechtliweg will open on 1st Sunday of Advent

Each evening, around 160 lanterns will illuminate the two-kilometre-long path near the Städtlerwald wood.

The Chamer Liechtliweg (Cham illuminated path) invites you to a candlelit walk from 5.30 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from the 1st Advent Sunday (29th November) to 26th of December, as well as on the 8th, 25th and 26th of December. On each evening, around 160 lanterns will shine along the two-kilometre-long path for about four hours, according to a press release from Cham Tourism. It should be noted that the situation could change at any time due to the corona pandemic. The latest information can be found here.

The Liechtliweg starts from the crossroad at the end of the Schluechtstrasse and leads from there to the left into the Städtlerwald wood to the large fire pit. You can walk the path on your own, as a couple, with family or friends. Take the time to slow down and enjoy the nocturnal magic of the wood. We recommend that you bring a flashlight. The best way to reach the Städtlerwald wood is on foot. If it’s too far way for you, you can park at the Schluechthof. The nearest bus stop "Cham, Löbernmatt" on Line 42 is within walking distance of the start of the Liechtliweg.

Before or after the tour you can enjoy outdoor snacks from the Nadig family at Schluechtstrasse 6. The WeinEngel is open on the corresponding evenings from 5.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (except on December 25th and 26th). Fancy a gingerbread or a glass of apple juice? Visit the farm shop of the Schluechthof. The self-service shop is open daily.
