Teacher sustains life-threatening injuries after being electrocuted during lesson

A teacher sustained life-threatening injuries after being electrocuted during a lesson on Tuesday morning.

The incident happened shortly before noon on the premises of the Ehret secondary school in Hünenberg as the 27-year-old was teaching woodwork.

 

Teaching colleagues rushed to help and reanimated him, paramedics subsequently able to stabilise him.

 

The teacher was then flown by Air Alpine Ambulance to a hospital beyond the cantonal border.

 

Members of the care team were brought in to look after pupils and other members of staff affected.
