Targeted bicycle checks in the Ennetsee area

For several weeks now, the Zug police have carried out numerous bicycle checks in the municipalities of Cham, Steinhausen, Hünenberg and Risch. Twenty fines were issued.

In the months of May and June, the Zug police carried out more than 30 bicycle checks in the Ennetsee area. According to the press release of the Zug law enforcement authorities, 22 people had not followed the legal stipulations. These included driving along the road in a forbidden direction, disregarding the red traffic light and rising on the pavement. A total of 20 fines and two student reports had to be issued. In addition, numerous other traffic participants were warned.

The checks focused in particular on raising awareness among two-wheelers of compliance with the legal requirements and drawing their attention to the dangers associated with their behaviour. In addition, reference was made to the role model that adult road users should present towards children and young people.
