Summer concerts of the Music School can now be enjoyed at home

The concert agenda of the Zug Music School is fuller than it has been for a long time. Although the summer concerts at the Theatre Casino will take place without an audience, interested parties can be there live, thanks to the streaming service.

For a long time now, the ensembles and choirs of the Zug Music School have had to do without concerts. The Big Band of the Kadettenmusik Zug kicked off the summer concerts on the stage of Theatre Casino on Thursday, 10 June 2021, writes Deborah Annema, vice-rector of the Music School Zug in a statement.

The Big Band has had to wait a whole year to perform their first concert under the direction of Martin Winiger. The tension in the run-up quickly dissipated, the technique worked wonderfully and a large audience tuned in live to the varied programme of the big band together with the guest soloist Samuel Leipold on guitar.

A total of five summer concerts will be played on the stage of the Theatre Casino. The Zug Youth Orchestra, the Wind Orchestra of the Kadettenmusik, the Prima Banda, with other ensembles, as well as the choirs of the Zug Singing School will still be heard and seen. The many technical details for image and sound are unusual for everyone, but are in the best hands with Marcello Weiss (images) and Alexander Fähndrich (sound). What’s missing above all is the audience in the hall, and the applause for the musical achievements of the young musicians.

Recordings are available as videos
After the live stream, the concert videos will still available to all those who may have missed them, or who want to enjoy them again. The other events of the Musikschule Zug will also be streamed live or available as a video. All data and links are available at: www.musikschulezug.ch.
