Successful year in the Ägeribad

The voters in Oberaegeri initially approved a building loan of CHF 36.3 million. The construction has now been completed at around CHF 118,000 less than the budgeted construction loan, reports the Oberaegeri resident office (Einwohnergemeinde). This was particularly pleasing, because a ladies’ sauna, a larger photovoltaic system and an underwater detection system for the safety of bathers were also included in the budget. Pius Meier, Chairman of the Board of Directors, is particularly pleased:

“I can look back on a very intense year. It was very time-consuming to set up the operations, and the change in management required additional resources from everyone involved.”

"But we have found the ideal person in the new managing director, and it’s a great satisfaction for me that our spa is so popular, and obviously meets a great demand", said Meier in the media release.

Around 150,000 bathers visited the Aegeribad in its first year of operation (it was opened on September 30, 2018). That’s an average of 13,000 people per month, and the trend is rising. “This is significantly higher than the budgeted number of admissions. The well-attended courses, including classic swimming lessons for children and adults and the Aquafit offers, has been successfully established, and are being continuously adapted to the needs of the guests,” the release continued. The latest offer in the Ägeribad, the massages, has also got off to a good start. “The mix of attractive courses, a varied culinary offer and the events in and around the Ägeribad can certainly be considered as part of the success. We are doing everything we can to ensure that our guests enjoy spending their most important time, namely their leisure time, with us,” says Managing Director Tobias Herger. Additional attractive courses are planned for the new year, such as baby swimming and aqua cycling. The fine tuning of the operation will be continued, the report assured.
