Baar / Hünenberg, 05.06.2020
Start of the bathing season
From 8 June, the Lättich in Baar will be open to the public again – with some restrictions: no more than 1,600 people will be allowed to use the outdoor swimming pool area at the same time.
The lake-side resort in Hünenberg will start operating on 6 June.
The Federal Council decided on further Covid 19 relaxations at the end of May, and communicated them at its media conference. These relaxations will allow the Lättich swimming pool in Baar to start a reduced public operation from Monday 8 June, in compliance with the protection concept, according to a statement from the municipality.
The Baar municipal council supported the recommendations of the management, and adopted the following provisions on restricted operation at its meeting on 2 June:
- The indoor and outdoor swimming pools will be physically separated and will be operated separately.
- The public operation takes place exclusively in the outdoor swimming pool.
- The indoor swimming pool will continue to be made available exclusively for swimming lessons for the public schools, the swimming school, the swimming club for swimming training, and for persons with physical disabilities.
- A separate entrance with a cash register will be set up for access to the outdoor pool (public use).
- The Delfin restaurant will be open during the operating hours of the outdoor swimming pool.
- The single person admission price is fixed at a uniform CHF 4.00 per person (adults and children) until the resumption of unrestricted operation.
- The annual and multi-month subscription cards will be valid again from 8 June. The period of validity will be automatically extended by a period equal to the period from 14 March to 7 June 2020.
- The expiry date of the 10-card tickets will be extended by the duration of the swimming pool closure, up to the resumption of unrestricted operation.
The above provisions are valid until further notice. Changes or adjustments will be published promptly and continuously on the homepage of the Lättich swimming pool (www.baar.ch/schwimmbad).
Restriction of public use
According to the announcement, the public can only use the outdoor swimming pool until the unrestricted resumption of operations. This is in strict compliance with the hygiene and distance rules of the Federal Office of Health (FOPH). This use is limited with respect to the maximum number of persons and the area of the outdoor swimming pool area. Accordingly, no more than 1,600 people can be allowed in the outdoor pool area at the same time. In addition, the number of persons who are allowed to stay in the respective water basin at the same time is also limited. Waiting times will occur at the entrance to the outdoor pool and at the access to the respective water basins, the announcement continues.
Hünenberg: Start of the season with a new learner pool
The ‘Hünenberg Badi’ (lake-side resort) will be back in operation from Saturday, June 6, according to a statement from the municipality of Hünenberg. In good weather, the bathing operation will run daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with bathing supervision. There will be no bathing supervision outside these times and in bad weather (refer to the respective notice) and the lake shore will then be freely accessible. Season tickets can be purchased from the Badi cash desk from the opening day, and include a consummation voucher for the restaurant.
With regard to compliance with the distance and hygiene rules, the Badi will rely on the personal responsibility and mutual respect of the guests, the communication states further. The completely renovated learner pool, the children's bathing area and, of course, also the lake, the showers, the playground and the beach volleyball fields can be used. Due to the Covid-19 rules, however, visitors must expect certain restrictions (among other things, a reduced number of visitors, fewer changing rooms, no day-to-day wardrobe box, the football pitch will be used as a lying area, the jumping tower cannot be used, and stand-up paddling and rubber boats are prohibited, for example). Depending on the further development of the situation, further restrictions or relaxations may be expected at any time.
According to the announcement, the Badi restaurant will be open to bathers, as well as passers-by, within the framework of the nationally valid regulations for catering establishments.
