Spectacular delivery floats through the city

Restoration work will be carried out to the interior of the Kapuzinerkirche (Capuchin Church) in Zug in the coming weeks. The ceiling, walls and furnishings will be subjected to conservation cleaning, according to a report from the Fontana & Fontana company, which is carrying out the work. Instead of using elaborate scaffolding, the work at height can be carried out using a church lift platform. A Super Puma helicopter from Heli-Swiss thereby flew in a special ‘church lift’ to the entrance of the Klosterkirche (monastery church) on Tuesday, 18 February, shortly after 10 a.m.

During the restoration work, dirt lying on the surfaces will first be vacuumed off with a proven restoration method, and the remaining grime will be "erased". Fontana & Fontana AG from Rapperswil-Jona specialises in the restoration and maintenance of valuable objects. The work will also be overseen by the executive board member and co-owner Marius Fontana, who lives in Neuheim. The cleaning work on the room will continue until the end of February, after which the helicopter will pick up the lift again.
