Sinserstrasse renovation work to begin

The construction directorate of the canton of Zug is renovating the Zollweid to Matten section of the Sinserstrasse in Hünenberg. Work will start on Monday 13 July 2020 and is expected to last until the end of July 2020.

The Zollweid to Matten section of the Sinserstrasse in Hünenberg has surface damage, and refurbishment is therefore necessary. The work should include the remediation of local weak points, as well as the replacement of manhole covers and the upper road surface. According to the press release of the cantonal construction directorate, the renovation work will begin on Monday, 13 July, and is expected to last until the end of July.

Traffic light operation and diversion
During the preliminary and post-work, traffic will pass the construction site in a single lane operation, and will be controlled by a traffic service or a traffic light installation. Access to the adjacent properties will be guaranteed. For construction and traffic considerations, traffic from Sins to Cham/Zug will be diverted via Holzhäusern during the main works. This diversion will take place from 16 to 21 July. Traffic from Cham/motorway exit Lindencham to Sins will be diverted via the Sinserstrasse. Access to the adjacent properties will also be  guaranteed during this period, with some interruptions.

To be renovated: the Sinserstrasse in Hünenberg.

Up-to-date information on construction sites on the Internet
As the construction work is weather-dependent, postponements cannot be ruled out. The cantonal civil engineering office provides information about the exact construction dates on the website www.zg.ch/baustellen. The building authority will take the necessary precautions to reduce traffic delays to a minimum.
