Single vehicle accident by a female motorist ends up in hospital

A female motorist crashed head-on into a waste skip in the city of Zug. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 76-year-old female motorist caused a single-vehicle accident on the Lüssirainstrasse in the city of Zug at 17:15 on Saturday evening. This was reported by the Zug police.

The female driver drove head-on into a roll-off.

According to her own statement, the driver was dazzled by the sun and, as a result, didn't see a skip that was standing on the road, and drove head-on into it. The 76-year-old thereby suffered significant injuries. After the initial medical treatment, she was taken to hospital by the Zug Ambulance Service.

The car was a complete write-off, and had to be towed by a private towing company. Because oil and other liquids had leaked from the accident vehicle, both the road and two drainage shafts had to be cleaned by the maintenance service of the city of Zug, the statement continued. The Lüssirainstrasse had to be closed in both directions while the injured driver was rescued.
