Sacks of potatoes, apples and eggs stolen from farm shop

Four men stole numerous food items from a farm shop in Cham on Sunday afternoon.

25 litres of apple juice, 60 eggs, 12 kilograms of apples and pears, 1 kilogram of walnuts and 23 kilograms of potatoes: this was the "shopping" that four men carried out on Sunday afternoon in a farm shop (Hofladen) in Cham. Instead of paying, however, they simply loaded the goods into their vehicle, according to a statement from the Zug police.

The farm shop owner observed the group carrying out their theft and stopped them, the statement continues. Two of the shoplifters then left the location, but were arrested nearby by a police patrol.

According to police, the four men are three Romanians aged 28, 32 and 34 and a 32-year-old Kosovar. All four have now been charged with theft, and the stolen food has been returned to the owner of the farm shop.
