Roadworks on the motorway feeder road

The Alpenblick intersection in Cham will have additional turning lanes added in July and August.
 

This will result in lane closures on the motorway feeder road between the Alpenblick intersection and the A14 motorway junction. According to the Cantonal Construction authority (Baudirektion), the work is in preparation for the opening of the UCH Cham - Hünenberg bypass in the summer of 2027.

The road in the direction of the A14 motorway junction is already closed, and will remain closed thbroughout July, while the road from the A14 motorway towards the Alpenblick intersection will be closed in August. This has already caused significant delays around the Alpenblick junction, particularly for people heading towards Cham.

Traffic to and from the motorway will be diverted via the Hinterbergstrasse, i.e. via the industrial area by Migros Zugerland, during both phases of construction. The additional turning lanes were already prepared during the renovation of the intersection in 2013 and 2014.
