Rear-end collision on A14 motorway

A rear-end collision involving three vehicles occurred on the A14 motorway near Gisikon on Tuesday morning. The accident led to a long tailback.

A rear-end collision involving three vehicles occurred on the A14 between Gisikon and the Rütihof junction in the direction of Zug shortly before 6.45 a.m. on Tuesday. According to the Zug Police, a lorry, a van and a car were involved in the accident. Two of the three vehicles were no longer drivable after the rear-end collision and had to be towed away. Fortunately, the persons involved in the accident were not injured, although damage to property amounted to around CHF 45,000, according to the police

The normal lane of the motorway had to be closed during the accident investigation, the vehicle recovery and the cleaning of the road. This led to a long tailback in the morning traffic. According to TCS, motorists had to expect a loss of time of up to 50 minutes.
