Pupils delighted with the learning pods

The municipality of Cham is taking stock after the first year of operation of the Schürmatt temporary school building 

‘The new building has proven its worth and meets the needs of its users,’ announced the municipality on Wednesday.

‘The special architectural features, such as the inner courtyard as an “oasis”, are greatly appreciated by users,’ says head teacher Isabelle Knubel. "The highlight for the pupils are the learning pods in the corridor, where they can retreat. The individual desks are also a plus for the students."

The municipality is also satisfied with the financial results: at CHF 16.7 million, the project planning and construction costs are around CHF 150,000 (0.9%), which is below the investment credit.
