Problem at Zug railway station now resolved

Nothing was working properly at Zug railway station on Thursday morning. The reason was a technical malfunction, and the disruption lasted more than two hours. Delays and cancellations are still to be expected.

Commuters had to be patient at Zug railway station on Thursday morning: all train traffic at the Zug railway station was paralyzed due to a technical malfunction. According to SBB, the outage lasted more than two hours.

The S1 was also affected: no trains ran from Cham to Baar. There was a replacement bus, however

The following trains were affected by the disruption: EC, IC2, IR, IR46, IR70, IR75, S1, S2, S5, and the S24.

As a result, there were delays, cancellations and diversions. According to the SBB, the restriction on rail traffic at Zug railway station was lifted from 12.30 p.m. Delays and isolated cancellations must still be expected, however, according to a report from the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
