Prisoner found dead in police-station cell

It is sad to have to report that a prisoner was found dead in his cell last Thursday.

Warders at the cells in the police headquarters at number 2 An der Aa in the city came across the lifeless body, that of a 36-year-old Swiss national, as they made their early morning round.

An investigation into the cause of death is ongoing, though any third-party involvement has already been ruled out.
