Police find missing person with life-threatening injuries
The Zug Police carried out a search for a missing man on Wednesday. He was later found in a forest in Cham, and had suffered life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday evening, the Zug Police received a report that a 61-year-old man was missing. They immediately initiated extensive search measures and investigations, and the missing man was finally found in a wooded area in the municipality of Cham shortly after 1 am on Thursday morning.
According to the police report on Thursday, the man had suffered severe head injuries that were life-threatening and, after receiving initial medical treatment from the Zug rescue service, he was airlifted by a Rega rescue helicopter to a hospital outside the canton.
The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is currently underway, led by the Zug cantonal prosecutor's office (Staatsanwalt). According to current findings, however, there are no indications of foul play.
