Two young people were robbed and verbally threatened on the Seepromenade in Zug last November. The two teenagers, then aged 15 and 16, were sitting on a bench at the Golden Kiosk when they were approached by a group of teenagers unknown to them. One of them stole the 16-year-old's headphones, another hit his upper body several times and a third kicked him in the knee.

The group also snatched a loudspeaker box from the 15-year-old, and then left.

As the Zug law enforcement authorities write in a statement, the perpetrators have now been identified, thanks to intensive investigations as well as recordings of video images. In cooperation with The Youth Prosecutor's Office of the canton of Zug, the five suspects were arrested and questioned in a coordinated, cross-cantonal operation.

The suspects are two Swiss, two Eritreans and one Somali. At the time of the crime, they were between 13 and 17 years old, and have all confessed to being involved in the crime. The five young people are not resident in the canton of Zug. They must now answer to the relevant Youth Attorney's Office in their canton of residence.
