At around 4.45 pm on Friday, 22nd May, a 21-year-old man attacked two customer advisors from Zugerland Transport. The two advisors were checking passengers' tickets on a bus of line 13 (Zug Bahnhofplatz - Obersack). There, they came across a man who did not have a valid ticket, and who didn’t want to identify himself.
The ZVB employees left the bus together with the man at the Kolinplatz stop. The passenger then attacked the two inspectors, threatened them and spat on them. Emergency services from the Zug police finally detained the Eritrean, according to the police report.
The 21-year-old will have to appear before the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Zug, charged with violence and threats against the authorities and officials. Following the police interview, the man was committed to a hospital by the emergency psychiatrist. The two customer advisors were unharmed.
