Parking fees at city's facilities now able to be paid by smartphone

Since the beginning of this month, it has been possible to pay parking fees at all of the city’s parking facilities by smartphone, rather than having to rummage around for coins.

As journalist Christopher Gilb wrote, this type of payment is possible at the Metalli, Frauensteinmatt, Altstadt Casino, Neustadtplkatz and Arena facilities.

And according to the Digitalparking AG company, motorists in Steinhausen will also be able to pay parking fees via smartphone, after having downloaded the “Parkingpay” app or the “Twint” one.

Digital minimalists will be pleased to know that it is still possible to make payment in coins if they so wish.
