Paraglider pilot crashes on landing

A 39-year-old paraglider pilot plunged several metres into the depths while approaching the landing in Oberwil on Saturday afternoon. The man suffered significant injuries and was flown to hospital.

On Saturday afternoon, just before 3:45 p.m., a 39-year-old paraglider pilot, who had previously taken off from the Zugerberg, intended to land in the Gimenen area of Oberwil near Zug. On landing, he plunged several meters into the depths and hit the meadow. This was reported by the Zug police on Saturday evening.

The man suffered significant injuries in the crash. After initial medical treatment, the 39-year-old was flown by the Rega to a hospital in a neighbouring canton. The exact cause of the accident is not yet known and is being investigated
