Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, the ban on visits will be extended to all retirement and nursing homes in the canton of Zug. In addition, the Zug Cantonal Hospital and the Hirslanden Andreas Clinic want to work more closely together to deal with the Corona virus.  In addition, the number of confirmed cases in the canton has risen to 24 in the meantime. It was still possible to isolate everyone in their homes because the health of the infected is good. Read more about this here

"Stay at home!": University hospital professor explains what you can do about the Corona virus
What can each of us do in this corona virus situation? Avoid unnecessary contacts, stay at home if possible. So simple, yet so effective. I, if you were out and about in Swiss cities on Sunday, however, you would have quickly seen that many people preferred to enjoy the first sunbeams of the spring in groups.

In a video that is currently being circulated, however, Adriano Aguzzi, the director of the Institute for Neuropathology at the University Hospital Zurich, emphasises how important it is to stay at home whenever possible and he makes an impressive appeal to the Swiss population.

"I would like to explain to you why you absolutely have to stay at home in the next few days and avoid contact with other people."

The video can be watched on the website of the Zuger Zeitung, or at:

Swisscom disruption also in Central Switzerland
Since 9 a.m. on Monday., some of the private and business customers of Swisscom Mobile or landline telephony have experienced interruptions in the service. It is not known whether it is because many people are working with home offices. Media spokeswoman Sabrina Hubacher told the online portal Nau that Swisscom is currently registering three times more calls via the mobile network than usual.

Canton Zug: Regional employment office can only be reached by phone
From Tuesday, Hall 44 will be closed to job seekers and customers in Baar. Consultations at the Regional Employment Agency (RAV) in Zug will now only take place by telephone or digitally. It is thereby aligning its services with those of the neighbouring cantons. These measures apply until April 5.

Germany starts borders controls with France and Switzerland
The German government has announced that, due to theCovvid-19 virus, controls will be carried at the German borders with France and Switzerland from Monday morning. People now need a good reason to travel from Germany to Switzerland and vice versa. Goods traffic will be allowed to pass, as well as cross-border commuters, according to a spokesman for the German Federal Police in Stuttgart.

Hardly any cars came from Switzerland arrived at the border crossing in Weil am Rhein in southern Germany this morning. The border officers initially wore no protective equipment or breathing masks. The French region of Grand Est (Alsace, Lorraine and Champagne-Ardenne), which borders on Baden-Württemberg, is considered a risk area.
