Night owls can celebrate again: as a result of the national easing of the Corona virus measures, the Zugerland Transport Company (Zugerland Verkehrsbetriebe AG - ZVB) is restarting its late-night offer.
Various nationwide easings of the Corona virus measures by the federal government entered into force on 22 June 2020. The curfew was lifted and, at the same time, the night service was ramped up. The ZVB will start operating the Zug Night Express (Zuger Nachtexpress) lines on the next possible date. This will be Friday 3 July 2020, as reported by the Zugerland Transport Company. Lines N1 to N6 will again run on Friday and Saturday nights according to the usual timetable.
Don't forget the late-night supplement
The late-night surcharge will be lifted with the timetable change in mid-December 2020. Until then, all customers are asked to continue to pay a late-night surcharge of five Swiss francs in addition to the regular ticket. This can be obtained at the ticket machine or by SMS ("NZ" to the number 988). According to the press release, ticketing via the FAIRTIQ ticketing app is particularly easy, as the late-night surcharges are automatically calculated and do not have to be purchased separately.
The ZVB Night Express lines will run regularly again from 3 July 2020
The range of services is also being expanded on Lake Zug
The timetable for the ships on lake Zug on Sundays will be extended by two more round trips at the start of the summer holidays,. The "Brunch-Schiff", with departure at 10.45 a.m. from Zug, and the Afternoon trip from 2 p.m. complement the existing offer. The Lunch Ship offers lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7 July. The round trip takes one hour from the "Landsgemeinedeplatz" jetty.
The evening cruises are always under a specific motto: be it Barbecue, Sushi, Summer Fondue or the Lake Zug Gourmet Tour – there’s something for every taste.
The Musical Evening Cruise ensures the right atmosphere. Classic Rock, Salsa or Summer Dance cruises and Hit Party cruises ensure lively hours on the lake.
