The website of the city of Zug has been given a new appearance. In addition to a modern appearance, www.stadtzug.ch automatically adapts to screens of different sizes.
As more and more people obtain information using a smartphone or tablet, modern websites have had to adapt their content, corresponding to the device on which they are accessed. For this reason, the City of Zug has technologically upgraded its website, and has switched to a software that supports more mobile behaviour. From the online form to the voting archive: each item is displayed in a way that is suitable for the corresponding reception device (so-called "responsive design").
The announcement from the City of Zug states that the tried and tested structure of the website has not changed. A new feature is the so-called "Hamburger Menu", which is characterised by three horizontal bars. The main menu, with all its content, can be accessed from this menu, which provides services especially adapted to the smartphone.
The new website is completely SSL-encrypted. All the pages with input fields have already been encrypted for some time, and are thereby compliant with data protection rules. But normal information pages are also increasingly encrypted nowadays.

Win a free dinner!
The conversion was preceded by a complex technical process, in which it was not possible to find all possible errors, despite intensive post-processing. The City of Zug therefore encourages its users to actively participate in the troubleshooting. If you find an error, please send an email to email@example.com, copy the link of the faulty page and describe the problem as accurately as possible. All those who participate in the troubleshooting process by the end of November will be entered into a draw, in which five dinners are to be won.
