The cold temperatures are currently awakening a longing for the south. At least in culinary terms, residents of Zug now have another option to satisfy that craving: at Alpenstrasse 11, right next to the Pickwick Pub, a new Tuscan restaurant called “TIK” opened in mid-December. The name is an abbreviation for “Tuscany Italian Kitchen.”

As the name suggests, the focus is on Tuscan specialities such as ribollita (a vegetable soup) or pappardelle with hare ragout. These dishes can be enjoyed on site or taken away. The offering also includes fine food products and gift baskets featuring Tuscan delicacies.

The owner and host of the restaurant is Federico Norata, who lives in Unterägeri. According to him, the restaurant is now entering its actual launch phase, having been temporarily closed again shortly after opening in mid-December due to the holiday period. The restaurant is open six days a week, with Wednesday as its day off.
