New name for the Ludothek's popular wooden dog

The pull-along dog took up residence at the Steinhausen Ludothek (toy library) 12 years ago, and is borrowed between 200 and 250 days every year, making it the most popular toy in the range.

And the pull-along dog now finally has a name. "We drew lots and, from now on, he is called Piri," writes the manager Mila Bürgisser on request.

Customers could also take part in the draw, and had until the end of January to suggest names. The employees finally drew one of the slips of paper with the suggested name for the pull-along dog. "The customer was very happy that she 'won' and will soon come along to borrow Piri and take him home”. In addition, the winner will receive "Das verflixte Hundespiel (The Darned Dog Game)" - a tile-laying game for ages 6 and up.

Ludothek celebrates anniversary
This name search took place as part of the 20th anniversary of the Steinhausen Ludothek. On the occasion of the anniversary, the wooden dog received several accessories: a transport bag, a collar with a matching leash and a food bowl. These are now being appropriately labelled with the name "Piri".

Customer can also take part in the anniversary celebrations in February, when there will be a quiz about the online catalogue, linked to a prize draw. The questions can be obtained by visiting the Ludothek Steinhausen on the Dorfplatz. If you can answer all the questions correctly, you will automatically be entered into the prize draw.
