Motorist came off the road and crashed into a house

A motorist came off the road in Menzingen on Saturday, and crashed into the wall of a house. Fortunately, no-one was injured.

Shortly before 11:45 a.m. on Saturday (8 January 8, 2022), a 23-year-old driver was travelling  on the Eustrasse in the direction of Neudorfstrasse. While accelerating, the young driver lost control of his vehicle and slid uncontrollably over the oncoming lane. The vehicle hit a street lamp there and then crashed into the wall of a house.

The young driver and his passenger were fortunately thereby uninjured, although the car and the house wall suffered property damage amounting to several thousand Swiss francs. The breath alcohol test carried out on the young driver was negative.

The accident vehicle had to be recovered with a crane, and was transported away by a towing company.

Risch Rotkreuz: Man falls from ladder

A man fell from a ladder while carrying out clearance work in Rotkreuz on Friday afternoon. He was hospitalised with life-threatening injuries.

The accident occurred shortly before 2:45 p.m. on Friday afternoon (7 January 2022), on the Grundstrasse in Rotkreuz. A 72-year-old man fell several metres from a ladder in a factory hall. He was thereby critically injured.

After receiving initial medical care from the Zug Ambulance Service, he was admitted to hospital in a neighbouring canton.
