Motorcyclist speeds through 80 km/h zone at 140 km/h

During a mobile speed check in Rotkreuz, the Zug police registered a motorcyclist who was clearly exceeding the speed limit.

A 30-year-old Swiss man sped through Rotkreuz on his motorbike on Friday evening - at a speed of up to 140 kilometres per hour, instead of the 80 kilometres per hour permitted in this section of road. He thereby exceeded the speed limit by a net 55 kilometres per hour, as the Zug police wrote in a statement on Monday.

Specialists from the traffic police registered the man during a mobile speed check on the Luzernerstrasse in Rotkreuz. The man’s driver's licence was confiscated on the spot, and he will now have to answer to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Canton of Zug
