Marc Sway to be an ambassador in Zug

Musician Marc Sway will be the official ambassador for the Special Olympics National Summer Games 2026, and will also be the main act at the opening ceremony on 28th May 2026 in Zug. This was announced by the organisers on Tuesday.

The well-known Swiss singer is dedicating one of his songs to the National Summer Games as a strong sign of solidarity. ‘As a musician, it’s important to me to connect people and bring emotions to life. The Special Olympics shows how much power there is in community and diversity. This commitment is a matter close to my heart,’ Marc Sway is quoted as saying in the announcement.

The collaboration with a well-known artist such as Marc Sway is an important step for the organising committee in further promoting the issue of inclusion. Thanks to his popularity, he reaches a wide audience and carries the message of ‘Zug 2026 – a matter of the heart’ beyond the world of sport.

This gives the cause of inclusion additional weight and maximum visibility. ‘The National Summer Games in Zug are much more than a sporting event. They are a celebration of diversity that shows us how enriching differences are. Being part of this fills me with pride and gratitude,’ Marc Sway continues.
