Man brutally beaten and seriously injured

On Saturday night, a man was physically assaulted and seriously injured by two people on the Alpenstrasse in Zug. The police are now looking for witnesses.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, shortly before 3 a.m., a physical altercation occurred on the Alpenstrasse in Zug. A 36-year-old man was kicked and punched by two unknown men until he lost consciousness, according to a report von Sunday from the Zug Police.

Third parties informed the Zug Police, who arrived at the scene a short time later and provided first aid to the 36-year-old. The victim was seriously injured in the altercation and had to be taken to hospital by the Zug Ambulance Service. The two unknown men had left the scene in the direction of the lake before the emergency services arrived.

The reasons behind the offence are still unclear, and the Zug Police have begun an investigation.

According to the Zug Police, the two alleged perpetrators can be described as follows:

Perpetrator 1
20 to 30-year-old man, medium build, 175 to 180 cm tall, brown hair and brown beard, light brown skin colour. He was wearing light blue jeans, a white hoodie and white shoes, and spoke Swiss German.

Perpetrator 2
20 to 30-year-old man, medium build, 180 to 185 cm tall, light skin colour, dark beard, dark cap, dark clothing. He was wearing a black T-shirt with a yellow Nike logo on the chest, a black Adidas hooded jacket with a white print on the back and spoke Swiss German

Police appeal for witnesses
The two men involved or anyone who witnessed the incident and can provide information about the wanted persons is asked to call the Zug Police Control Centre on 041 595 41 41.
