Man attacks several people in the S-Bahn

On Tuesday afternoon, shortly before 2 p.m., reports were received by the operational control centre of the Lucerne police that a man had approached several passengers in an S1 train, and, in some cases, had even physically attacked them.

The police stopped and arrested the man at Lucerne railway station. First clarifications showed that the 45-year-old Swiss had asked passengers for money on the train from Baar to Lucerne. When he was not given anything, the man apparently became aggressive, shouted and attacked two women. He tried to snatch a purse from one of the two women, and apparently also attacked the train attendant. The man has been admitted to a clinic in the meantime.

The Lucerne police are looking for people who have observed the incidents in the S1 or who were approached by the man. They are requested to contact the Lucerne Police on 041 248 81 17.
