Long period of construction work on and around the Bundesplatz
Road works will start on the Bundesstrasse, the Bundesplatz and the Rigistrasse on Monday, 13th January.
This was announced in a press release on Monday. According to the City of Zug, a new rainwater pipeline is being built and the WWZ AG is connecting various properties to the Circulago energy network. The work is expected to last until the end of 2025.

The press release does not mention any traffic disruptions due to the roadworks. During the work on the main road, the pedestrian crossing between the Bundesplatz and the pavement on the Rigistrasse, including the two safety islands, will be closed. Pedestrian traffic will be diverted via the pedestrian crossings on the Alpenstrasse and at Bahnhofstrasse / Baarerstrasse.
