Laura Dittli replaces Beat Villiger in the Government Council

The distribution of the directorates for the 2023 to 2026 legislature has taken place.

The centre-right Mitte party politician Laura Dittli, who was elected to the government council (Regierungsrat) on Sunday with the second-best result, will become Security Director of the Canton of Zug from 1 January 2023. She thereby replaces her party colleague Beat Villiger, who did not stood for re-election due to health reasons.

The other six directorates will remain in the hands of their previous heads, announced the State Chancellery (Staatskanzlei) on Tuesday evening.
