I really can't remember when I‘ve felt so ill in my whole life

Norwegian Dan Tangnes has been coaching the National League ice hockey club EV Zug from the 2018/2019 season. The coronavirus recently laid him flat. But he is more worried about something else.

"I caught the corona virus in October, when the temperatures were still pleasant. At the beginning, I had a high fever, but no cough. A few days later, I also started with a very severe headache. I really can't remember when I’ve felt so ill in my life, and I had to stay in bed for a long time.

Eleven days passed before I ventured out of my apartment for the first time. I also gave myself plenty of time to find my feet again, and I also slept a lot at this stage.

Even though it’s now weeks since my Corona disease cleared up, I still feel tired and flat. I notice this when I try to do a bit of sport myself after a team training. I become tired very quickly. It’s important that the EVZ players do not catch this virus. That would be a big problem for our National League team."
