Hospice Zug looks at death with Annett Kuhr
Dealing with one's own mortality is anything but a shallow form of entertainment.
Annett Kuhr - a German singer-songwriter from Rottweil - took concertgoers into her world of dying with her tender yet expressive voice in the Reformed Church in Zug last Thursday, 7th November 2024. She addressed this topic in a gentle yet haunting manner.
Each chanson was accompanied by an anecdote from life, revealing a new facet of the subject. Annett Kuhr thereby found a fine balance between seriousness and humour. The chansons touched the audience in different ways, invited them to reflect on their own losses and hopes and created space for what often remains unspoken. And life was considered again and again.

On this evening in the Reformed Church in Zug, people laughed, cried and even sang, as Annett Kuhr took the audience into a world between life and farewell - and at the same time offered the opportunity to reflect on it.
With great empathy, she succeeded in transforming the heaviness into lightness. This mixture lent the evening a special atmosphere that resonated intensively with the audience in the discussions that followed.
