Helicopter rescues elderly woman from mountain

A woman suffered a fall on steep terrain, and had to be flown to the hospital by helicopter.

According to the statement by the Zug Police, the accident occurred on the Walchwilerberg on Sunday afternoon, September 29, shortly after 3 p.m., when a 73-year-old woman fell while following a path through steep terrain. She suffered an injury to her foot, and had to be lifted out by winch by the REGA rescue flight, and was immediately flown to hospital.

Employees of the REGA rescue team and the Zug police were on duty.
