From Einsiedeln, Lucerne, Ruswil and Oberägeri

As one of the many reactions to the spread of the Corona virus, church services are no longer being celebrated in large parts of Central Switzerland - with a few exceptions. We show them - live.

The measures to contain the corona virus do not stop at the spiritual world either. This is how the Catholic Church has reacted to the instructions of the Federal Council: Until April 19, no public services are celebrated in the whole diocese of Basle. "The churches remain open and pastoral care is guaranteed," says a message. Some churches now offer live streams, which our newspaper collects in this overview.

These livestreams are scheduled for Sunday:

Einsiedeln:
All transmissions on the YouTube channel of the Einsiedeln Monastery: Laudes (7.30 a.m.), convent office at 11.15 a.m. (on Sundays and public holidays at 9.30 a.m.), lunch prayer (12.05 p.m.), vespers (4.30 p.m.), complete (8 p.m.).

Ruswil:
Andy Owen is the community leader of the Christian Center Zollhaus, married to Melanie and the father of 4 children. He preaches on "Don't waste a crisis". What do we do when a crisis hits our lives? Can it be that God not only wants to spare us from crises, but can use crises in our lives to make us stronger?

Oberägeri: Church worship (recording)

The service for the 4th Sunday of Lent took place in the Aegeri District in a shortened form. Pastor Inge Rother Schmid leads through the service, Christian Lübbert plays the organ:

The Engelberg Monastery kicked off the weekend. On the feast day of St. Benedict (March 21), the service with Abbot Christian Meyer was broadcast directly to the Engelberg cable network and to Luzernerzeitung.ch. Here is the recording: https://youtu.be/BGTP8BROLxc

The Saturday service with Pastor Peter Camenzind as a video. "It's a little strange to celebrate Holy Mass in front of an empty church," said Camenzind. He has become aware that worship was always celebrated for the whole people.
