Freiruum area to offer temporary replacement for closed sports area

The ‘Freiruum’ meeting place in Zug is currently being remodelled, and the play area will thereby be temporarily closed. But, from Friday, 31st January  the management is making an interesting alternative available during the redevelopment phase.

The well-known ‘Freiruum’ meeting place in Zug is currently being redeveloped. As part of the renovation work, the sports area, which includes the trampoline and parkour park, as well as the indoor children's playground, is also being modernised. This sports area will thereby be temporarily closed during this renovation phase.

As the ‘Freiruum’ team wrote in a press release on Monday, however, a solution has now been found to offer visitors an alternative: a pop-up playground in the Event Hall.

According to the press release on Monday, the temporary playground will combine ‘adventure, entertainment and numerous attractions such as bouncy castles, game booths, XXL table football, 9D virtual reality cinema, soccer cage, bull-riding and “Human Soccer”, as well as a surprise and other elements for young and old.’ As Marco Husi, manager of the ‘Freiruum’, explained in the press release: ‘It was important to us to offer our visitors an attractive alternative during the renovation phase of the sports area.’

The playground is open to children aged 4 and over, and admission costs twelve Swiss francs for children and adults alike. But there is also a special offer: admission for only CHF 5.-on the opening day, Friday, 31st January (admission only available on site and in limited quantities).
Sounds like a great idea to start the weekend!
