Former Zytclub operator takes over Althus Bar

New job for the former operator of Zug's Zytclub: Felix Suter is taking over the Althus Bar on the Landsgemeindeplatz in Zug.

It was a tough end for Felix Suter. On 5 November 2022, he learned that the Zytclub's days were numbered. He had to close up shop at the end of December (we reported in December).

As the online portal "Zentralplus" has learned, he will now have another chance. Only a stone's throw away from the former pub, he will take over the Althus Bar on the Landsgemeindeplatz in Zug.

He told "Zentralplus": "After I’d been on the road for five weeks, the owner of the Althus Bar approached me and asked me directly if the pub could be something for me." As the portal further reports, he decided to take over the pub partly because of its location. In this way, he should also be able to keep his regulars from the Zytclub.

The Althus Bar

Less space than in the Zytclub
Although the Althus Bar is smaller than the Zytclub in terms of space, Suter hopes to be able to compensate for this in the summer, as there will then be more room outside. As he told "Zentralplus", he wants to be able to continue to run his bar with the 250% equivalent of full-time employees. At the moment, however, the entire interior work has to be pushed ahead and completed, and this work could take a few more months.

Felix Suter is happy about the new perspective. Even if he will have to put more emphasis on keeping noise emissions low in the future. He personally feels very good since he decided on the Althus Bar, however. He has also already received positive reactions from the population.
